Realme 9i 5G: What’s new?
The Realme 9i 5G is the latest smartphone from Realme, and it comes with a number of new features and improvements over its predecessor. For starters, the Realme 9i 5G features a new 6.5-inch display with a resolution of 1080×2400 pixels. The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 SoC and comes with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The smartphone also has a 5,000mAh battery and supports 18W fast charging.In terms of camera, the Realme 9i 5G features a quad rear camera setup that includes a 50-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel secondary sensor, and two 2-megapixel sensors. On the front, there is a 16-megapixel selfie camera. The Realme 9i 5G runs on Android 11 out of the box.
Design and build quality
When I first saw the Realme 9i, I was really impressed with the build quality. The back is made of glass and it feels very durable. The front is plastic but it feels sturdy and looks great. There are a few stickers on the back which detract from the build quality but they are easy to remove. The phone has a 3D curved edge which makes it feel like you’re holding something more premium than it is. It’s not slippery or hard to hold at all.
Performance
The Realme 9i features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 SoC with an octa-core CPU and the Adreno 616 GPU. On the front of the device is a 6.6-inch display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution. There is also 3GB of RAM and 128GB of storage on board, which can be expanded via microSD card (up to 256GB). The rear camera has a 13MP sensor while the front camera has a 20MP sensor. Both cameras come with LED flash support and HDR support as well. This phone runs on Android Pie OS out of the box and packs a 5000mAh battery inside it.

The phone has a pretty decent design with a glossy finish and it is also water resistant. Realme has done an excellent job of making the phone’s features as future proof as possible considering its price. The processor is one of the best we have seen under Rs 20,000 and the camera performance is up there with the best in this category. Overall, if you are looking for a budget smartphone with some flagship features this could be your perfect device.
